EIPES Course Designer

CAROL PATRIE,Ph.D.,CSC,SC:L,CI,CT Carol Patrie is a national and international consultant on issues related to interpretation and teaching interpretation. She is Director of Curriculum and Instruction for the EIPES. Carol is a past president of the Conference of Interpreter Trainers. In 1998, she was presented the Outstanding Graduate Faculty award at Gallaudet University where she was a professor and director of the MA Program in Interpretation. Carol has served as a visiting faculty member at the Monterey Institute of International Studies. Carol is preparing a series of student workooks, teacher's guides, and videos for publication by DawnSignPress of San Diego, CA. Several installments of this series which coordinate with LMI's EIPES include Cognitive Processing in English, English Skills Development, Translating from English, Consecutive Interpreting from English, and Simultaneous Interpreting from English. Her most recent releases are Interpreting in Medical Settings, Interpreting in Legal Settings, and Interpreting in Insurance Settings.
